How do our students learn?

With hands-on experiences that reinforce classroom direction.

General Classroom Information: Our classes are taught thru direct and indirect instruction.  Direct instruction happens on a whole class level lead by the teacher.  Our classes are then divided into groups for indirect instruction.  Within the groups the students are learning and interacting with one another as the teacher facilitates the learning.  Each student builds his or her portfolio which is used to show the student growth throughout the year.  Our students are responsible for one major project every six weeks.  The projects incorporate all objectives learned for the six weeks and become part of the student's portfolio.  Homework is a vital part of our students academic responsibilities and is given daily.

Science Lab:  To increase our students knowledge of various sciences.  Each grade level is required to participate in weekly labs.

Mobile Math Lab:  Our mobile math lab that will visit each classroom to help the students better understand math objectives with hands-on activities.

Foreign Language Lab: Each student is required to take a foreign language.  These classes are designed to help the student learn to speak and write the language.  The foreign language lab is also designed to help the student learn the culture and the country of origin.
